We can all see it and feel it more than ever; fear is everywhere.
Some people are shouting loudly about everything that’s going wrong. Others have gone silent because the noise is overwhelming. Either way, the focus is largely the same: the problems, not the solutions.
Fear matters because it’s what keeps people trapped. It shapes decisions, stops progress, causes conflict and convinces us to stay exactly where we are - even when where we are is no longer safe.
I’ve just shared a very vulnerable video on our YouTube channel. It’s really not polished or perfect. This video stuff is new to me - I actually cringed after because I cried a little on camera. Oosh. But I posted it because it’s real, it’s human and because it speaks to so much of what many of us are feeling right now. Fear, uncertainty, the sense that we’re being controlled by people who are so far from being in touch with who we are and what we need to thrive. You can take a look here:

Episode 2 - The emotional truth about the UK & how centralisation is eroding our culture.
It’s why Kinect U exists. It’s why we want every individual to feel empowered again and it’s why this week’s newsletter is all about Fear and how to control it, rather than letting it control or freeze you.
So What Is Fear?
Fear is not a fact - it’s an emotion. It’s a response to a perceived threat of danger, pain, or harm. Right now, people are experiencing two very different types of fear:
1. The rational fear
This comes from what we can clearly see happening:
systems tightening
data being centralised
business owners & professionals being squeezed
identity requirements leaving us vulnerable to a surveillance state
our children being fed into digital systems we don’t have a grasp on
familiar processes becoming visibly unsafe
This is the fear that says “this is real. This affects my freedom, my ability to provide, and what I leave behind.” And that fear makes sense.
2. The imagined fear
This is the fear of the unknown:
“What if everything collapses”
“What if I can’t adapt?
“What if this all gets worse?”
These are perceived threats - possibilities, not facts. They’re not based on what is happening, but on what might happen. And confusing these two types of fear is what is keeping many people trapped.
Fear vs Unfamiliarity
This distinction is CRUCIAL for the world we live in today. Your brain is wired for safety and routine. Anything unfamiliar triggers the same response as danger - even when it isn’t dangerous at all.
Stepping outside of your comfort zone can feel threatening simply because it’s new. Once you recognise that discomfort isn’t danger, fear starts to lose its power.
Where This Showed Up for Me
When we started building this ecosystem, I was creating fear for myself.
I kept asking:
“What if this goes wrong?”
“What if that happens?”
“What if we’re not ready when things change?”
I was trying to solve problems before they even existed - putting up mental barriers that stopped me taking action. Louis told me to pause, breathe and stop worrying about problems that haven’t become real. And he was right. You never want to freeze yourself over hypothetical worries - that’s called anxiety. Living in the “what if” is what stops even the smartest people from moving forward.
As someone once told me, “Don’t fear the mountain in the distance. Climb the hill in front of you. The climb prepares your legs for everything that comes next.”
Why We’re Building This Ecosystem in Phases
Because fear disappears when people understand the steps. Right now, the biggest pressure is on business owners. Companies House verification is just one example - not because proving who we are is the issue, but because of:
where that data is stored
what it’s linked to
who can access it
the removal of walls between systems
Healthcare, finances, business activity, identity and assets are all being quietly connected.
That’s why Phase 1 focuses entirely on your ability to transact and own your data. Because without the ability to transact, you can’t operate. And without control of your data, you lose control of everything else.
Business owners keep saying “They’ve got us by the balls!”
And that’s why we’re starting here - regaining control so we can handle the next phases with stability and strength. Healthcare, education and critical thinking are all stages we’re building for the next phases.
This is how we move from fear to familiarity - and from familiarity to empowerment.
I hope this has helped you. Please remember to subscribe to our YouTube Channel, which is there to keep you updated but, more importantly, share the vulnerability , insight and truth that will empower you in a world that’s changing rapidly.
